According to the asteroid trackers of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the asteroid is traveling at speeds of almost 18,000 miles per hour.

Asteroid 2019 LU was discovered on May 10 by NASA scientists, who have been responsible for supervising it carefully for the past 36 years.

It is estimated that the steroid measures between 85 and 193.5 feet wide. After studying their orbital trajectory, astronomers have indicated that the moment of their next approach with the Earth will be this Sunday, about 985,000 miles away; that is about four times the distance between Earth and the Moon.
